A Bit About Me As A Designer
Hi there! My name is Katie Werner and I am a graphic designer, UX/UI designer, and an illustrator. I recently graduated, August 2022, from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design and a minor in UX/UI design.
Finding a career path where I am able to use my creative and analytical sides in tandem has made the practice of design incredibly fulfilling for me. I believe in working in teams, as I have concluded collaboration is the key to unlocking amazing design work.
I love using my creativity to solve problems and make the world a better place or at least a bit more comfortable. Along with my goals of improving users day to day lives, as a designer I am also passionate about making things visually beautiful and interesting to look at.

I am a hands on crafter. I love tactile hobbies that I can feel all the materials in my hands that I’m working with.
I am a master of cozy, I’m talking blankets, candles on a rainy day, fireplaces, and tea.
I adore my dog Olaf more than anything.
I am a mushroom forager, I started the hobby with my dad in high school.
I love a good old fashion forest walk.
And my favorite color will be orange until the day I die.
